Alex D. Moglia

                                     President

Alex has led numerous distressed acquisitions and sales, restructurings and turnarounds, interim management projects, and fiduciary engagements over the last 25 years.  Prior to founding Moglia Advisors, he held management positions with Continental Illinois National Bank and CNW Corporation.  Alex currently serves on the Governing Board of the Corporate Finance Association Foundation and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, the Association for Corporate Growth and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.  He has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago School of Law and attended the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.  He has a Bachelor of Science of Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and is fluent in several languages. 

                                Gary A. Wencel

                              Managing Director

Gary has extensive experience in managing turnarounds, restructurings and liquidations in industries ranging from commercial printing to engineering services, from metal fabrication to wholesale/retail distribution, and from construction services to automotive parts and supplies.  Prior to joining Moglia Advisors, he was an asset-based lender for a California-based institution, and a corporate planner and business analyst for two Fortune 500 companies.  Gary is a CPA and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois. 

                                         Diana L. Casas

  Senior Director 

Diana is a certified project manager and works as our Director of Project Management and Marketing.  She has over 10 years of experience in a variety of industries including  natural foods, banking and technology.  Diana received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in accounting from Pensacola Christian College.  She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation and the National Association of Professional Women.  Diana has furthered her education by pursuing and achieving various certifications including several in Project Management.

                                   Barry R. Davis

Consultant

Barry has more than 20 years of financial services experience as interim CFO, commercial lender, and corporate controller. He has worked on turnarounds and restructurings in several industries including metals brokering, plastic injection molding, and manufacturing and assembly operations. Prior to joining Moglia Advisors, he was an asset-based lender for several financial institutions, worked in public accounting and managed an accounting department in the transportation/distribution industry. Barry is a CPA and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and psychology from St. Mary’s College.

                                   Mark G. Baum 

                                    Consultant

Mark Baum joined the team at Moglia Advisors with in-depth experience in finance.  Mark started out in public accounting and has worked as an internal auditor, investment accountant, assistant controller, and CFO for a variety of companies in manufacturing and service industries.  Mark’s specialty is in developing and implementing cash management and cash forecasting applications and processes.  Mark is a CPA and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from St. Joseph’s College.

                              Charles P. Keenon

                                   Consultant

Chuck Keenon is an accounts receivable expert with years of experience in commercial and retail accounts receivable management.   His experience includes strategic planning, budgeting, training, fraud prevention, systems planning and integration, and corporate reorganizations.   Chuck has held senior management positions with Associates Commerce Solutions, First Nationwide Bank, First National Bank of Chicago, SPS Payment Systems, Household Retail Services and WCI Financial Services.  He attended the American Banking Institute and the College of DuPage.

                                Matthew D. Brash

                                     Consultant

Matthew Brash joined Moglia Advisors after acting as the Arena Football League’s interim Controller during the League’s restructuring efforts in 2009, and eventual bankruptcy sale. Previously, Matthew served as the Arena Football League’s Manager of Finance & Operations for over three years. His experience includes financial operations, accounting and audit testing, strategic management and planning, business development and marketing. Matthew received a bachelor’s degree in Applied Life Sciences from the University of Illinois.
